I got this for my husband as a birthday present. So far he’s very happy with it. Had an issue with the maps crashing. Reached out to customer service fixed it right then and there on the spot. Gave us a link to reupload the maps and now it works like a charm. Husband says he likes the other features like the calendars and the ability to link his headphones directly to the watch. I don’t know what else is on the watch but it seems to be enough to keep him busy haha

I love to hike with the family. It's something we do nearly every weekend. Anything that helps me prep is welcomed. Same reason I got their ALICE Pack a while back. I am able to carry first aid, knife, etc. and just be well prepped. I had a Garmin a while back that I used to track where we were going. It was awesome and all until it was not. Garmin refused to replace it, had a little over a year which was disappointing. I also didn't want to drop another $840. That's literally around the time I got the email about the Nova Xpedition. For the price it's offered at, it's a steal. I'll try to wrap this up and compare it to my Garmin. So I do wish it was 100 meter waterproof like the Garmin, but then again, it still leaked a year later so there's that. I also am not a diver, so 4 feet waterproofing is more than perfect for me. Regarding the size and weight, it's about the same. Software is smooth and love how the notifications are presented. There's also a scrolling wheel which is nice. I love that the maps are FREE and not $60 like Garmin and I can download them anytime I want. Apparently I can get other countries but I don't travel abroad so that's not an issue. I will say that the maps aren't like the TopoActive maps you see in Garmin, but frankly, I can't say I actively used those features anyways. It does come with a barometer and air pressure feature so it's not really a big deal, I can always check the altitude and what not on the watch. Not really a deal breaker. I love that like my Garmin I can download songs directly to the watch and that I don't really need my phone for the watch to work. Ultimately, imma stick with this moving forward. ATACLETE customer service has always been top-notch as well when I've had order issues way past the original purchase date. Their products are always high-quality. If you want all the fluff features like watching your stocks and paying through your watch then I would say yeah go with Garmin. If not, I would say the Nova Xpedition provides everything you want in a Garmin at a fraction of the cost and at the same level of performance. Weather, to Altimeter, Stress levels and biometrics. It's all here. (I posted a pic of one of my hikes below, hopefully it shows.)
