Quality did not fail my expectations. Definitely worth it.
I purchased a 5mm wetsuit for a last minute dive trip. They didn’t make my size (XLS) in the 5mm so I worked with a customer service rep on alternatives. Although the wetsuit didn’t fit, I can’t help but appreciate all the hoops they jumped through to get me a suit quickly and at least try to get my size. Start to finish, first question on size, to assisting with the return. The customer service at Ataclete is unmatched and a welcome change.
I’ll start off by saying that I’m 65 years old. My first time snorkeling was on my honeymoon on Kauai in 1988. I didn’t try it again until 2022 on Maui. We were in Florida for my son’s wedding, and decided to extend the trip and visit the three National Parks, which included snorkeling tours in Biscayne, Key Largo, and the dry Tortugas. It was on this trip that I decided to invest in some real gear. I did my research and went with Ataclete. I ordered up a training combo pack (mask, snorkel, jet fins, boots, mesh bag, and training ropes). Some of you are probably snickering in that I probably bought more gear than I needed, and you’re probably right, But I couldn’t be happier! The quality of this gear is amazing. I will never need another set for as long as I live. The snorkel/mask setup is easy to use, the boots are very comfortable, and the fins are amazing. I tested them all out in my parent’s pool. I can’t wait to snorkel the marine reserve in La Jolla. I’m a very happy customer.
Their issued gear is more padded than the issued items. Perfect for making your ruck more comfortable. Wish they make the shoulder pads for the molle 4k.
