Tactical Tallow Cream — Orange + Bergamot

Pool training is great for your water confidence. Your epidermis did not volunteer.

Two-hour swim evolutions, fin work, deck drills, repeated showers, chlorine, and then doing it all again tomorrow can leave your skin feeling like government-issued sandpaper. That isn’t entirely in your head: research in competitive swimmers has measured a significant rise in transepidermal water loss after pool training, meaning the skin barrier is temporarily losing water more readily after prolonged swimming. Dermatologists likewise recommend rinsing chlorine off promptly and moisturizing afterward.

MARINE RECONditioning was made for that exact moment.

Not a 14-step skincare routine. Not cucumber water. Not a candlelit conversation about your pores.

It’s a rich tallow-based moisturizer built for dry hands, elbows, knees, feet, and skin that has spent entirely too much time submerged in municipal chemistry.

What’s doing the work?

Grass-Fed Beef Tallow provides a dense blend of fatty acids including oleic, palmitic and stearic acids. Those lipids give tallow its emollient, moisture-sealing character, useful when the mission is less “beautification” and more stop my knuckles from looking like a topographic map. Research specifically on topical beef tallow in humans is still limited, so we’re not going to pretend it descended from Mount Olympus carrying the cure for skin disease. The available literature supports its potential as a moisturizing ingredient while emphasizing that better controlled human studies are still needed.

Jojoba Seed Oil is technically closer to a liquid wax than a conventional oil. Its long-chain wax esters have made it a longstanding ingredient in moisturizers and dermatologic preparations, where it contributes emollience and spreadability without turning application into a wrestling match with a jar of rendered beef fat.

Olive Fruit Oil adds additional emollient lipids and helps the formula spread across dry areas. We keep the claim where it belongs: it’s part of the conditioning oil system, not a magical force field.

Orange + Bergamot Oils give MARINE RECONditioning its clean citrus profile, because after two hours marinating in chlorine, smelling vaguely like a public recreation center shouldn't be part of the training adaptation.

The actual mission

Chlorinated pool exposure can strip away surface oils and leave the skin barrier dry and irritated. In one study of elite athletes, swimmers experienced greater post-training increases in water loss through the skin than athletes training outside the water.

So the sequence is simple:

1. Conduct aquatic operations.

Swim. Fin. Tread. Suffer professionally.

2. Rinse off.

Chlorine completed its evolution. It does not need additional contact time.

3. Apply MARINE RECONditioning to slightly damp or clean skin.

Use a small amount on hands, elbows, knees, feet and other areas displaying early signs of reptilian conversion.

4. Remain mammalian.

Why tallow instead of another bottle of lotion?

Traditional lotions are generally emulsions containing water plus oils, emulsifiers and other supporting ingredients. A tallow-and-oil balm is different: it’s an anhydrous, lipid-heavy formula designed to leave emollient material behind on the skin.

That makes MARINE RECONditioning particularly suited to the post-pool use case where you aren't necessarily looking for something that disappears in twelve seconds.

You're trying to replace some of what chlorine, water exposure and repeated washing just took from you.

Made for

Special operations candidates. Rescue swimmers. Combat divers. Lifeguards. Swimmers. Tactical athletes. People doing fin work at 0500. And anybody whose shower drain smells like chlorine more frequently than their local YMCA.

Also suitable for civilians.
